The Big One achievement routine: from first catch to Fishpedia 100%
Read achievements as notes for the next cast
Achievements in The Big One work best when you treat them as small prompts for what to check next. Catch a fish, land the hook timing, sell from the net, open Fishpedia, and your next goal becomes clearer.
The current game data defines 34 achievements across first catches, perfect hooks, first sales, total catches, rare and legendary fish, Fishpedia 25%, 50%, and 100%, fishing-location unlocks, rod and net purchases, gold earned, and camp cooking.
Five routines achievements connect
Grouped this way, achievements read less like a scoreboard and more like a play route.
| Routine | Screen to check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| First-catch routine | Fishing screen | Cast, wait, hook, and read the reeling feel once. |
| Sell routine | Net and fish merchant | Clear fish before the net fills and turn catches into gold for equipment. |
| Fishpedia routine | Fishpedia | Check missing entries and fishing time before choosing the next location. |
| Equipment routine | Rods, Baits, Nets | Pick concrete targets such as Carbon Rod, Master Rod, or Large Net. |
| Cooking routine | Camp cooking | Turn caught fish into recipes and longer collection goals. |
Fishpedia and achievements move together
Fishpedia is more than a collection album. Discovering a fish can change both your achievement progress and the next location worth trying, so collection sessions should start by checking Fishpedia.
Four icons that make the routine easy to remember
If you only play one short session
• First, open Fishpedia before choosing a location and look for missing entries or useful fishing times.
• Second, check bait and net space. If either is tight, visit the Shop or fish merchant before casting.
• Third, review the result after one catch: new discovery, best record, sale value, and the next equipment target.
