The Big One Casting Power Gauge Guide: Throw with Rhythm, Not Force

The Big One is a casual fishing RPG built around casting, waiting, hooking, reeling, equipment progression, 150+ fish species, 10 fishing locations, and Fishpedia collection.
Your first cast is not about memorizing a number. Hold the button, watch the moving power gauge, and release in the green zone until that short rhythm feels natural.
One hold-and-release starts the whole catch

Official fishing and reeling screens show the beginning and later part of a run, from the cast button to reading the line.
Read one catch through four signals
| In-game label | Watch for | Your action |
|---|---|---|
| Casting! | The moving power gauge and green zone | Hold the button, then release in the green zone. |
| Wait | The bobber dipping as a bite signal | Stop tapping and wait for the bite signal. |
| Now! | The exclamation mark and reaction timing | Tap quickly when the exclamation mark appears. |
| Reel In | Tension and remaining distance | Hold while keeping tension from drifting too far. |
Practice with your first three casts
1. On cast one, only watch the gauge speed.
2. On cast two, release as the marker enters green.
3. On cast three, let go after casting and wait for the bite.
4. If you miss, repeat the rhythm once before changing gear.
Think of casting as timing what you see, not simply throwing as hard as possible. Hitting the green zone once is already a useful goal for today.
