A Dream Revisited: Launching Cooki.sh, an AI-Powered Recipe Platform After 10 Years
Back in 2013, I was a high school student and built a recipe app called "Cook Eat". It won the gold medal at the SK STAC App Development Competition. That was my first experience seeing people actually use something I made. But I had to shut it down because I couldn't maintain it while preparing for college entrance exams.
Ten years passed. Even while working as a developer, I kept thinking about those days running that app. Finally got around to rebuilding it.
Cooki.sh
Cooki.sh is an AI-powered recipe platform. Beyond basic recipe sharing, I added a few AI features.
AI Cooking Assistant
Upload a food photo and AI organizes ingredients and cooking steps automatically. Useful when you don't want to type everything out manually.
AI Image Enhancement
Improves smartphone food photos. Handles poor lighting and messy backgrounds reasonably well.
Recipe Sharing
Browse and share recipes by category - Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Western, etc. Multi-language support and dark mode included.
Beta Launch
It's still in beta so there's a lot of rough edges. If you try it out and find issues or have suggestions, let me know and I'll work on it.
