The Big One Fishpedia Weekly Goal Routine: Fill More Empty Slots
The Big One is a casual fishing RPG built around casting, waiting, hooking, and reeling, then tying each catch back to gear progression and collection goals. With 150+ fish species and 10 fishing locations, the best rhythm is not to chase everything at once. Pick a few empty Fishpedia slots and let them guide the week.
Why a weekly goal helps
Trying to complete every missing entry in one sitting can turn a light fishing session into a checklist. A weekly target keeps the loop readable: choose one undiscovered fish, test a location, then decide whether to keep casting or switch plans.
A 3-step routine
You only need the labels already shown in the game.
| Step | Check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Not Discovered entries in Fishpedia | Choose one fish you have not met yet. |
| 2 | Fish available with current setup and fishing time | Narrow the target before changing location or equipment. |
| 3 | Times Caught and Best | If the entry is filled, switch to record chasing or a new location. |
Sample target fish
Start with familiar fish to learn the rhythm, then add larger collection goals as new locations and equipment open up. The labels below use the in-game display names.
What to change when stuck
- Move to another fishing location if the same target stalls for too long.
- Check Rod, Bait, and Net status in the Shop before forcing more casts.
- If your Net is full, sell or clear fish before casting again.
- Even without a new catch, Times Caught and Best can point to the next goal.
