The Big One 1.3.3 chat translation: read fishing tips, then check the original

A short message from another angler can suggest what to try next. As the developer of The Big One, I see chat translation as a way to make that conversation easier to read. A translated sentence alone does not establish a fish’s appearance conditions or guarantee a catch.

What the public release confirms
On October 1, 2026, the Korean App Store lists version 1.3.3, released on September 29. Its public notes describe message translation, switching between the translation and original, and reusing translations while the original is retained. Google Play’s notes describe the same chat features. Check your store for update availability on your device.
Translate, then compare when uncertain
Use the translation action on the message you want to read. Once a result is displayed, switch back to the original to compare the wording. Check fish names, fishing spots and bait against both the original message and the game screen. This article is not announcing additional bait effects or new species.
Turn a tip into a fishing attempt
If another player recommends a location, first check whether you can currently reach it and whether your bait is ready. Reading a tip and recording your own catch are separate things. Check your records in Fishpedia, and avoid judging a translation or a tip from a single attempt.

When a notice or error appears
Translation information is included in the chat rules. Read any rules confirmation or unavailable notice shown on screen before proceeding. Rather than repeatedly pressing the button, read the original and try again later. Translation cannot guarantee another player’s intended meaning; ask a short follow-up when the distinction matters.
One cast after the conversation
Apply just one piece of advice to your next fishing session. The related guides below cover bait inventory and reading Fishpedia. The official video illustrates fishing, not the chat translation interface. The images are current Korean store promotional media; their capture dates and builds are unknown.
